Wisconsin is the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving. With its four distinct seasons and a chill in the air, you’ll feel ushered into the holiday season. (And having the best cheese for that staple mac ‘n’ cheese dish is a bonus!) If you’ll be in Madison this holiday season, check out the brunch at Tully’s II Food and Spirits. Classics like turkey, cranberries, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie are part of the menu for just $12.99 per person. Service starts at 10 a.m. “until they run out,” so make early reservations.
The Old Feed Mill is a moderately priced option where you’ll find oven-roasted turkey, their famous pot roast, bourbon smoked pork with an onion marmalade, all the sides you can manage, bread pudding, and a variety of pies. Service is from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a $21.99 price tag.
An Elegant Thanksgiving
In the mood for a gourmet feast? Try CIRC at the Madison Concourse for plated entrees featuring brown sugar baked ham, apricot and bourbon salmon, and of course herb buttered turkey. The seared duck breast or tempeh meatless loaf are also excellent complements to popular sides. The price is $39 for adults.
Two lovely options also include The Edgewater and Rare Steakhouse. With seating in ballrooms and a decadent brunch or dinner, prices range around $50 per person, but for many these two options are a Madison tradition. Where will your turkey day take you?
