Monona Terrace

Looking for a special venue to host your Madison event? Monona Terrace is “a public place by Frank Lloyd Wright” and a gorgeous architectural dream. A favorite for banquets, weddings, conferences and more, it features public building hours Monday – Friday from 8 – 5, when events aren’t scheduled. There’s access to a rooftop space as well as the Lake Vista Café on site for all your dining needs.

A certified green building, the Monona Terrace prioritizes sustainability without forsaking elegance and grace. Originally, FLW proposed a “dream civic center” in Madison in 1938, but it took years for Monona Terrace to be completed. Today, it’s the most sought after venue in Madison, complete with full catering and A/V staff available.

Is Monona for You?

Meetings, weddings and exhibitions/conferences are the most popular events at Monona. Suitable for the highest tech needs and boasting a 68,000 square foot rooftop garden, the sky is truly the limit here. Rising above Lake Monona and just two blocks from the city center, it’s both accessible and seemingly a world away from the bustle of the city.

You can request a proposal online and schedule a meeting to experience the climate-controlled skywalk for yourself. An additional 2,400 square feet of meeting or event space is available indoors. Contact the venue representative at Monona Terrace for more information.
