Where will you be when the ball drops? Madison has plenty of New Years options, like the famous party at Essen Haus. With two bars and two bands, attendees get steins to keep along with a champagne toast at midnight, buffets and craft beers. The decadent dinner starts with appetizers at 6 p.m. before dinner service from 7 – 10 p.m. Tickets start at $75, and you’ll want to reserve yours as soon as possible.
The Alchemy Café is famous for their Nasty New Year’s Eve with the local band The Mustache taking the stage right before midnight. It’s where you’ll find a raucous party, plenty of funk and one of the lowest covers in town. There’s also the Bartell Theatre for those who don’t care for champagne or countdowns. A team of local performance entertain guests, all for a $20 entry.
The Party Goes On
Head to the Cardinal Bar for a party that stretches all the way until 5 a.m. It’s where you can dance the night away to a mix of EDM, Latin and just about any other type of music that makes you head straight to the dance floor. Although drinks stop getting poured at 2 a.m., that’s no reason for the party to stop. This one is for night owls only.
The Concourse Hotel offers one of the most luxe parties in the city. Full packages start at just under $200, and you have an option of two unique parties on site. Both come with a champagne toast, and you can choose to add on a lobster and steak dinner, live music, comedy show and more. It’s on the pricier end, but attendees say it’s well worth the indulgence.
